What people say

Loved in Hayward

  • The food is unbelievably good. Our first time there and we didn’t not know what to order.the owner/chief explained the menu and how everything is done by hand right in front of us. We ordered the meat Feteer which had a combination of beef, beef sausage and basterma, which is an Egyptian style beef prosciutto but way better, and loads of cheese and veggies. The Feteer It’s a very flaky Philo style hand, pulled dough and stuffed with all the goodness and baked to crisp. The owner was is very generous with his hospitality, didn’t push anything on us and kept bringing out free drinks, free desserts, free hors d’oeuvres and doubled size our order at new additional charge. When we were done, we ordered an extra one that is sweet made with sugar, fresh cream and vanilla pudding to take home for The family. You must try the lemonade and the fresh squeezed mango juice. Overall, our experience was so phenomenal. We are willing to drive the hour and a half to go back and try it again. At the end of our wonderful visit, we left a large tip but Mina the owner refused to accept it tip, we insisted so as we were getting into our car, he followed us with a big bag of free goodies for ourselves, and our kids and grandkids at home. This guy works really hard has a young family to support and his prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious. I recommend you try it.

  • Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to prepare everything with great attention to detail. You can actually watch them make your food fresh right in front of you, and it’s clear they take pride in what they do. The food was phenomenal. Every ingredient tasted fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was packed with amazing taste. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. One thing that really stood out was how clean and hygienic everything was. The preparation area was spotless, the staff wore gloves, and they handled the food with great care, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for delicious Egyptian shawarma, fresh food with outstanding service in a clean environment, this place is an absolute must-visit. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
