Feteer is a beloved Egyptian street food — a flaky, hand-stretched flatbread folded around layers of butter and ghee, then baked until the crust shatters and the filling melts. It’s the kind of thing every Egyptian kid grows up loving, and every shop has its own way of making it.

Shaltat is the East Bay’s only spot dedicated to it. We hand-stretch every pie, use halal-only ingredients, and serve both savory fillings — cheese, meats, mixed — and sweet ones, from honey and powdered sugar to Nutella. No shortcuts. No machine dough. Just feteer the way it’s done back home.
